Research on Improved Variable-step MPPT Strategy for the Grid-connected Photovoltaic System
A new Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT) optimization algorithm is introduced with the modified Variable step method and the step-adjust in different zones is also used to change the convergence rate.This optimization algorithm model is used in three phase grid-connected system built by the MATLAB software,which can simulate any parameters of the photovoltaic module,and dynamically track any light intensity and ambient temperature.The MATLAB simulation results show that this method can be effective to adjust PV output power in real-time,and it can greatly improve the tracking speed and reduce the oscillation around the maximum power point(MPP) to reduce power consumption of PV device.This system is simple and has a certain reference value.
