Design of Advanced Metering Infrastructure Based on Internet of Things
The advanced metering infrastructure(AMI) is a core component of smart grid.And the AMI is in the exploring stage in China.So the Internet of Things(IOTs) technology was proposed and adopted,and then a new AMI based on IOTs(AMIs) on smart grid had been designed.The principle of the system architecture,the design of main functional modules and program had been thoroughly elaborated in this paper.The practice showed that monitoring and displaying on power user’s energy parameters in real-time,and fault diagnosing on the conditions of smart grid had been implemented by the AMIs.Furthermore two-way wireless communication of each other in power users,smart meter and power grid firm had been completed,too.And meanwhile the construction and development of modern smart grids,and the managing level and service level of power grid firm had been further improved by the AMIs.
