Distribution network reconfiguration is a non-linear combinatorial optimization problem with multi-objective and multi-constrained features.In the process of reconfiguration, economy and reliability factors of the distribution network system have been referred in this paper. This paper establishes the Pareto multi-objective mathematical model of reconfiguration and presents an improved hybrid biogeography-based optimization to deal with the issue of distribution network reconfiguration. It avoids the situation of heavy reliance on subjective experi-ence in the progress of solving such problem by weighted multi-objective optimization algorithm.In addition, the introduction of the Pareto multi-objective mathematical model makes the algorithm possess more practical engineering significance.IEEE33 distribution network is used to prove the feasibility of this algorithm.
