Matrix converter is the most promising scheme to realize the requirement of the , so it has the vital significance to research and develop. It can be divided into conventional matrix converter and two-stage matrix converter according to the topological structure. This paperScompared roundly the modulation strategy of the two matrix converters. It compared the switching functionSmodulation strategy and SVPWMSmodulation strategy of the single-stage matrix converter with the SVPWM modulation strategy of two-stage matrix converter, and it reasonably insertedSzero vectors in the inverter stage of the two-stage matrix converter. The result of Matlab/Simulink simulation verify the modulation strategies is feasible, and the two-stage matrix converter has better performance through comprehensive comparison and analysis. This paper has specific reference value for the selection of matrix converters and its modulation strategies.
