When low-voltage micro-grid is under islanding mode, the traditional droop control can not effectively control the voltage, frequency and stability of system when the load changes. In order to solve the above problems, a self-regulating droop control strategy based on the conventional droop control is proposed, introducing the PI feedforward control to adjust the voltage and frequency by changing the slope of the droop curve and translation of the curve. First of all, the principles and methods of the control strategy are analyzed, then simulated traditional droop control strategy and improved control strategy in Simulink. The simulation results show that the proposed improved droop control strategy can control of the voltage and frequency more effectively and rapidly, so that the low-voltage micro-grid running more stablely in island mode more stable.
