Recently, researches about electromagnetic compatibility of VSC-HVDC converter system are rarely addressed in published works at home and abroad, and they mainly focused on simulation research. The theoretical study is lack of appropriate experimental data to validate the reliability and validity. There is only one VSC-HVDC demonstration project, the system outage is complexity. This paper analyzes the architecture of VSC-HVDC converter system, presented an overview of the work of this electromagnetic field test, based on the VSC-HVDC experimental platform of New Energy Laboratory in NCEPU. The electromagnetic field of interior laboratory is measured by both point frequency and sweep measurements, by means of loop antenna placed in the typical positions, when the converter system proper functioning during the frequency range of 150kHz-30MHz. It is indicated that with the frequency increasing, the electromagnetic disturbance level quickly decreases, radiated electromagnetic interference of converter system is the most obvious at 3MHz, and the interference has an increasing trend when frequency is greater than 25MHz.
