Aiming at the high cost, low accuracy and poor operability of low-voltage transformer areas topology verification, this paper proposes a new verification method based on discrete Fréchet distance and Editing Nearest-Neighbors method. First, in terms of the latitude and longitude coordinate data of transformers in GIS, the adjacent transformers of a verified user can be searched by computing the distance between the transformer to which a verified user belongs and other transformers in the area. Secondly, by calculating the discrete Fréchet distance between the verified user and other users in the same transformer area and adjacent transformer areas, we searches the k nearest neighbors upon a small amount of key samples generated by Editing Nearest-Neighbors method, which can reduce the searching complexity effectivly. Finally, we can distinguish the correct transformer area to which the verified user belongs. The new method can effectively verify the connectivity between electric power users and the correspondent transformer in GIS.
