Single terminal fault location method based on fault current distribution factor
In order to achieve precise positioning of power cable, this paper proposed a single terminal fault location method based on the fault current distribution factor. According to the Kirchhoff theorem of voltage, the method establishes expression on power system equivalent model. Then positive sequence, negative sequence and zero sequence components of voltage and current from one end of the line are detected. This method introduces the fault current distribution factor, replaces the fault current with weighting coefficient of the fault type and increment value of fault current, establishes the fault location function, finally detects the fault distance. Simulation results show that the proposed method has strong robustness and high accuracy.
