The development of smart grid leads to the intelligent development of terminal equipment. Therefore, the intelligent and efficient edge terminal access network is an important part of building a smart grid. Both power line and wireless communication have the advantage of not needing to set up special communication lines, but their communication performance is affected by the power line load and the geographical environment respectively. The fusion communication between the two can greatly improve the communication performance; this paper proposes based on the power service type and communication requirements. The channel switching method based on analytic hierarchy process and other algorithms combines quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to comprehensively judge and scientifically process power line and wireless time delay, bandwidth, packet loss rate, and other parameters. It can be realized through simulation verification. The rapid and smooth handover of multi-media heterogeneous networks ensures the accuracy of information exchange among multiple communication interfaces in the power system and creates favorable conditions for the performance improvement and business expansion of smart grid terminal monitoring.
