Development of experimental platform for Lithium-ion power battery temperature field visualization on thermal liquid crystal
Temperature is a critical factor for power battery performance. So temperature field testing and analysis are very important for power battery performance assessment and optimization design. On the basis of the color change characteristics of the thermal liquid crystal and digital image processing technology, a temperature field visualization experimental platform of power battery temperature testing was developed in this paper. This platform not only can accomplish quantitative measurement of power battery surface temperature testing but also can display the temperature gradient and the changing process for different operating condition .This platform can be used in the research of power battery thermal management and can be used in related experiment teaching, because of its visualization is of benefit to improve the teaching effect.
