Parameter optimization strategy for units considering system damping and frequency characteristics
Large-scale access of volatile and stochastic wind power reduces the damping level and frequency response performance of the system, which also restricts the further improvement of wind power penetration. The impact of the inertia time constant of the thermal unit on the dynamic stability characteristics and frequency modulation characteristics is contradictory under the high wind power permeability. A strategy for determining the weighting coefficients of each index in the coordinated optimization objective function through the demand hierarchy analysis model and then the unit parameters are optimized and selected is proposed in order to achieve the best comprehensive characteristics of the system. This strategy can achieve the focus optimization of different performances, and can improve the frequency modulation capability of without reducing the dynamic stability level of the system. The simulation results show that the strategy can improve the damping and frequency modulation ability to different degrees, and the optimization effect is stable and reliable under different permeability levels, which enhanced the ability of the grid to deliver and dissipate wind power.
