Initiative Power Outage and Power On Event Reporting Smart Meter Design based on Dual Core Architecture
This paper proposed a dual core smart meter design for initiative power outage and power on event reporting. The design adopted the idea of dual core, Bluetooth communication module was deployed under type II concentrator acquisition mode. Meanwhile, a super capacitor was added in management core, which supplied power for management core MCU、communication module. The super capacitor ensured the reliability of power outage and power on reporting. Based on the design proposed in this paper, a smart meter is developed and tested. Under different acquisition modes, it can meet the time and accuracy requirements of initiative power outage and power on event reporting. The design shows high practical value under circumstance of ubiquitous power IoT.
