Modular Modeling and Analysis of Gas Turbine Generator Set on Offshore Platform
Aiming to grasp operating performance of gas turbine generator set in power system, this paper proposed a universal dynamic model basing on GGOV1 structure using Matlab/Simulink. An application example is given with parameters of a gas turbine generator set which is already put into operation on offshore platform. Through simulation test, rotation speed, terminal voltage, field voltage, output mechanical power of gas turbine, and gas consumption can be monitored effectively. Eventually, the established model reflects the dynamic process after disturbance quite accurately, which demonstrates the universality of the model. What’s more, the proposed universal model also can be regarded as a platform to analyze abnormal operating conditions and to tune parameters of control algorithms as well.
