The stability of smart electricity meters was severely influenced by operation environment, this paper investigated the evolution processes of power error of smart electricity meters with calendar time, based on the field operating testing at Yangbajing in Xizang. The influences of power coefficient and basic current on power error of smart electricity meters were identified by analyzing the differences of power error under various electrical testing conditions. The impacts of temperature, humidity, and beam on power error of smart electricity meters were calculated and discussed according to the changing of power error of smart electricity meters under different environmental conditions. The results may provide guidance to improve the reliability and stability of smart electricity meters.
