Reverse power and fault control strategy for shore power system
To suppress the reverse power phenomenon caused by the voltage amplitude and frequency difference between the two sides when the ship is connected to the shore power system, and to prevent the ship from being disconnected from the grid due to the voltage drop during the fault, a reverse power control strategy and a low voltage ride-through control strategy based on the operating characteristics of the shore power system are proposed. By analyzing the causes of different reverse power phenomena, combined with the pre-synchronization control and droop control strategy, the amplitude and frequency of the variable frequency power supply are adjusted to complete the rapid suppression of reverse power; according to the degree of voltage drop during fault, the current reference value of the current inner loop control in the variable frequency power supply is adjusted, and the reactive power output is increased to support the recovery of the closing point voltage and restore power supply to ship loads. The shore power system is built through the SIMULINK platform for simulation. And the results show the correctness of the above two fault control strategies, which can effectively suppress the reverse power phenomenon at the time of closing and quickly restore power supply to ship loads after the fault to achieve the shore power system’s stable and safe operation.
