Low-carbon generation expansion planning method for power system with high proportion of renewable energy
In order to solve the problem that it is difficult to coordinate the low-carbon development demand of the new power system with the necessity of coal power as a supporting power source, a low-carbon power planning method of high-proportion renewable energy power system considering a variety of carbon reduction and emission reduction measures is proposed. Firstly, based on the characteristics of liquid storage carbon capture technology, the output of power plant and carbon sequestration model with carbon capture technology were established. Then, a comprehensive generation expansion planning model with the objective of minimizing the total costs considering low carbon technologies (such as carbon capture, wind power, carbon trading, et al) is proposed. Moreover, sample average approximation method is employed to transform the proposed model into a mixed-integer linear programming formulation. Finally, the modified IEEE-24 bus system is used as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, and the effects of carbon capture system, carbon trading price and different carbon emission levels on power planning are quantitatively evaluated.
