      The problem of Real Time Clock in smart meters are summarized and analyzed in this paper. From the Real Time Clock solution and the key components selection, including the design for the battery characteristics, the reliability design, the production process, quality management, etc, this paper puts forward some countermeasures to the problem of Real Time Clock of smart meters.
