In order to overcome the disadvantages of original Quasi Z source/ Z source inverter, such as limited boost ability, unable to realize the isolation between input and output, and so on, then two isolated switched-inductor Quasi Z source inverters with buck and boost ability are proposed in this paper, where an isolated transformer is used to replace an inductor in original qZSI topology. The circuit operation and control strategy are discussed in detail, the simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed topology.
