In recent years, the number of wind farms and its installed capacity grows rapidly. Wind power has more and more impact on power grid. As an important measure to improve the power quality and the stability of the system operation, reactive power compensation has been widely used in the wind farm. In this paper, a reactive power and voltage control strategy of dynamic reactive power compensation in wind farm was proposed. By measuring the input voltage of wind farm, making full use of continuous regulation characteristics of MCR and coordinating of switching FC to meet the voltage and reactive power demand in wind farm. Finally, taking an actual wind farm with MCR for simulation analysis, the validity of proposed strategy was verified.
