As a shining point in the IEC 61850 protocol, the role of GOOSE which is used in the field of power system has become increasingly important. GOOSE is one of the GSE’s two structures of message and it is mainly used in the transmission of the information of tripping, blocking state and switches in substation. How to realize the real-time and reliable transmission of GOOSE is becoming more critical. Aiming at the real-time and reliability of GOOSE, this paper proposes a single CPU architecture model of GOOSE communication system based on FPGA technology, and introduces the realization of its function of real-time and reliability. Finally, the reliability of transmission of the gear is verified by experiments, and its transmission delay is tested.
