In order to realize non-contact measurement of the metal temperature under the dust environment, the paper proposes a new method based on eddy current and trans-impedance real part. The temperature probe is composed of exciting coil and inducing coil, which are coaxial. By testing and handling the current across the exciting coil and the trans-active power, the trans-impedance real part can be gained. When the coil parameters, the installing size and the exciting frequency are determined, the trans-impedance real part has something to do with the temperature of the measured metal, but not the impedance of the exciting coil and the temperature coefficient. It is feasible to measure the temperature of detected metal indirectly by detecting the trans-impedance real part. The experiments have proved the effectiveness of the proposed method.
