In this paper, the reliability of PV tracking system is analyzed and evaluated. According to analyzing the main structure of PV tracking system, the fault tree of PV tracking system and the model of each module are established. The maximum likelihood estimation method is used to determine the reliability parameter of each module by counting the fault data of a tracking PV station. Based on the parameter determined, the reliability of PV tracking system is evaluated by using the fault tree. Results prove the effectiveness of the evaluation method. Key Words: Photovoltaic, Photovoltaic tracking system, Reliability, Parameter estimate
