The grid connection of large-scale wind power has great influence on the power
quality of power system, and we need give a full and accurate analysis on the power quality in
the wind station. As the power quality monitoring technology developing quickly, traditional
power quality monitoring means cannot meet the needs of wind power grid monitoring. In this
paper, we propose and develope a real-time power quality monitoring system of wind station
based on the virtual instrument technology. The system is based on the hardware of signal
conditioning circuit, using the USB interface acquisition card as the core , and the LabVIEW
software as the development tool.With the functions of waveform display, data read, signal
analysis, judgement based on national standard and etc,we can monitor all the basic parameters of
power quality, realize a real-time monitoring of wind power quality and judge whether the
power quality from the wind station is appropriate for the power grid according to the national
standard of power quality.
