In view of the locomotive power test with simulation load cause energy waster, designing a energy feedback type electronic load to feedback the test energy to the side of the dc power supply dc input. The energy feedback type electronic load composed by the boost chopper circuit and the phase-shifted full bridge circuit. The boost chopper circuit adopted single current loop control structure, one-cycle control mode, controlling the input inductor current to simulate dc power load characteristic; The phase-shifted full bridge circuit used the input voltage loop and output current loop control structure, proportional control mode, using the high frequency inverter to isolate the input and output, and efficiently feedback the energy to the side of the dc power supply dc input, make the test energy recycling. Through a 8kW simulation experiment platform, verify the feasibility of the design. The results show that the dc feedback type dc electronic load can save more than 80% of the test energy.
