The quality of electric energy meters has a direct influence on power supply reliability and safety of the user side, which strongly related to the national grid system stability and economic operation. According to the current existing defects of electric energy meters, this paper considers seven verification test results as quality evaluation indexes and analyzes associations of these seven quality factors by Apriori association rules data mining methods. Therefore, the degree of influence caused by verification items on verification quality has been determined. This paper also discusses the inner association between seven verification items and has found some failed verification items of an associated high frequency. Considering the reasons for these high-frequent items, the conclusion that current weak points of electric energy meters are concentrated on metering modules has been founded. In all, this paper provides a reference for improving verification tests pass rate and ameliorating products.
