Trips of earth leakage circuit breakers in transformer areas caused by non-permanent failure are common faults in the maintenance of distribution network, realization of real-time monitoring and control for earth leakage circuit breakers is feasible ideas to improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance. In this paper, based on the Power User Electric Energy Data Acquirement System, a remote monitoring and control scheme for earth leakage circuit breakers in transformer areas is issued. By introducing a "concentrators - single-phase intelligent electric meters - earth leakage circuit breakers is used status and control information of earth leakage circuit breakers is transferred in Electric Energy Data Acquirement System in order to achieve remote monitoring and control. The results of test in the real electric network show that the scheme can monitor the accurate status change of earth leakage circuit breakers, and do the remote reclosing of non-permanent failure in a higher success ratio. It has the advantages of less investment, easier implement and more obvious effects.
