As a hub of trade settlement and assessment of economic and technical indicators in power generation, substation, transmission, distribution and consumption, the accurate and stable operation of electric energy metering device is directly related to the economic interests of both trade parties. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the operating status of the electric energy metering device, for the purpose of predicting faulty and then stopping loss. Based on the previous researches, this paper makes improvement on the state indicators and evaluation methods of electric energy metering devices: the non-linear mathematical scoring model is used to characterize the quantitative state indicators; the gray theory is applied to analyze the qualitative state indicators; based on improved analytic hierarchy process, the weight of each state indicators is determined. Finally, the state evaluation results are obtained by means of weighted average model and fuzzy mathematics theory. The improved state assessment strategy is more perfect and practical, realizing the all-round supervision over the operating status of the electric energy metering device.
