Aiming at the characteristics of large power loss and high harmonic current content of traditional magnetically controlled reactor, a new hybrid magnetically controlled reactor is designed. The hybrid magnetically controlled reactor adopts magnetic valve type controllable reactor and unsaturated iron core reactor coil series technology, the AC magnetic flux flowing through the unsaturated core of the middle column is the sum of the AC magnetic fluxes of the two side pillar iron cores, and the DC magnetic flux of the magnetic valve type controllable reactor does not flow through the middle pillar iron core. The structure can greatly reduce the coil and the number of turns of the magnetic valve type reactor, thereby reducing the power loss of the magnetically controlled reactor, reducing the heat generation, and suppressing the harmonic current of the controllable reactor. In this paper, Simplorer and Maxwell are combined to realize the field-path coupling multi-physics simulation analysis. The harmonic content is analyzed by Matlab/Simulink software, and the hybrid magnetically controlled reactor is characterized by low loss and low harmonic content.
