With the rapid development of the urban distribution network, the requirements for power supply reliability are also getting higher and higher. The importance of the ring network cabinet as the distribution network connection and the power transmission equipment is self-evident. The rapid and accurate detection of partial discharge of the ring network cabinet is of great significance for ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid and improving the reliability of the power supply. In this paper, the related principles of pulse current method and UHF method and their corresponding characteristics are introduced in detail, and the combined detection method of pulse current method and UHF is proposed to detect the local power generation of the ring network cabinet. It can be seen from the field test that the method proposed in this paper can accurately and quickly realize the detection of partial discharge of the ring network cabinet, which has practical practical significance.#$NLKeywords: pulse current method, UHF method, ring network cabinet, partial discharge.
