In order to solve the problem that the traditional measurement method can not simulate the actual working condition in the measurement of low-voltage current transformer error detection, a current transformer error test method based on the field signal simulation technology is proposed and verified by experiments. First of all, based on the high-speed recording technology, the actual working condition waveform and characteristic signal are digitally decomposed. Then, using the program-controlled voltage source and program-controlled electronic load, the signal simulation test platform is built to reproduce the field working condition waveform, and the error test of the tested current transformer is carried out, and the used waveform is decomposed and sorted to form the current transformer operation error test waveform library. Finally, the current transformer error could be detected and calibrated by using the characteristic waveform in the waveform library.
