Reasonable allocation of the capacity of distributed generation(DG) in the microgrid, is the key to ensure the microgrid to achieve the purpose of local consumption and self sufficient. But,there is always a gap between the load and the rated power of DGs in the time-varying. To a certain extent, a reasonable time-of-use(TOU) price strategy can reduce the gap. This paper presented a new method of microgrid planning: coordinately planning the DGs'capacity and TOU electricity price during the planning phase. First, the model of DGs and load was established, considering the time-varying and response characteristics for different types. Then, coordinated planning model was presented, which takes the DGs'capacity and TOU electricity price as the decision variables, the operating cost and other economic indicators as the objective function, and was solved by the business software for linear programming. Finally, in the case study, the superiority of this coordinated planning method was verified by comparing with a variety of other conventional planning methods introduced.
