Typhoon caused varying degrees of operational failure of transmission lines, the fundamental reason is the impact of wind load. Therefore, in order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid, this paper propose a typhoon disaster early warning method based on distributed fiber wind technology. Firstly, the wind load is calculated through the real-time wind obtained by the distributed monitoring equipment. And then considering comprehensively the different losses from the duration of the wind, the self-running status and the problems left over from the operation and maintenance of the line, the dynamic correction of design wind load is completed. Then after comparing the real-time wind load with design wind load corrected dynamically, the corresponding warning level of typhoon disaster can be released. Finally, the order of loss caused by typhoon can guide the staff preferred large risk or potential risk spans for inspection, which can avoid blindness while lightening the workload considerably and minimize the typhoon disaster loss.
