Based on the characteristics of active damping control mechanism, a new single current closed-loop feedback control strategy for LCL grid-connected inverters is proposed in this paper. The control strategy combines active damping and resonance control. Through full feedforward of the grid side current, the resonance peak is effectively suppressed and the high gain at the fundamental frequency is realized. The control strategy contains no added additional sensors, which is simple in structure, low in cost and high in reliability. The system transfer function with the control strategy is derived and its implementation method is given. A MATLAB/Simulink simulation model is established to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
