The existing standards for smart electricity meters only specify the accuracy requirements under the forward or reverse direction, but do not require the accuracy in the case of bidirectional switching. With the popularization and application of distributed energy such as photovoltaic power generation, electricity meters frequently encounter bidirectional change of electric energy in the field. In this paper, the experimental model of bidirectional metering is proposed, the defects of existing metering algorithms are analyzed, and two improved algorithms are proposed.
